The Way

Jesus said He is the way, so I'm following Him. He said He is the truth, and that's what I want my life to be about, too. Jesus said He is the life. I want to live that rich, full, vibrant, powerful life that Jesus offers. He is the Lover of my soul, and I the lover of Him. This is what I'm thinking about right now, and I'd love to read what you're thinking about, too.

About Me

Joanne Guarnieri Hagemeyer
Teaching the Bible to change lives, I led and taught a Bible class of 350-500 students from 2003 to 2013, and in 2018, retired as an advisor and mentor to eight Bible classes and five prayer groups in the Maryland area with BSF, International. I continue teach the Bible through Ancient Voices, Sacred Stories, LLC, and serve on the pulpit teaching team of my church, New Hope Chapel, Arnold, MD. I am currently attending Portland Seminary, working towards a Masters in Theological Studies. I continue in that passion today, to teach, counsel, mentor, and train in God’s word and Spirit through retreats, Bible studies, and online classes. Also a long-time “armchair archaeologist,” I joined the Board of Directors for the Biblical Archaeology Forum in 2013 and have participated in two excavations, Tel Kabri and Tel Akko. Another passion of mine is the healing work of counseling, and currently serves as a lay counselor in affiliation with The Lay Counselor Institute since 2012.
